I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School in 2017, my Graduate Certificate as an Addiction Specialist from St. Cloud State University in 2013, and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2011.
I believe that therapy starts with building a relationship of trust and understanding. My approach is client-centered with compassionate and direct communication. I work from a strength-based and goal-orientated model. I believe in empowering the individual to take ownership of their life. I use empathy with accountability.
Therapeutic Orientation: Adlerian Psychotherapy, Reality Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
I utilize other techniques that may include mindfulness, meditation, grounding, and emotional coping. Trauma-informed.
I have gained extensive knowledge and experience working with individuals with various addictions, trauma, criminal thinking, and mental health concerns. I also have experience in working with families struggling with a family member's addiction or mental health concern.
